What is Wake On LAN Ex?
Wake On LAN Ex is an application that allows the waking up, rebooting, shutting down - and more - of computers on the network or on the internet.
Depending on its WOL abilities, the destination computer can be sleeping, hibernating, or entirely off and still be able to react to a Wake-On-LAN event. WoLEX also supports logging-off and hibernating the remote computer, as well as displaying Windows Instrumentation information (such as uptime, CPU speed, and more).
Wake On LAN Ex has the following features, among others.
Auto-Discovery displays all other devices (PCs, phones, etc) that the system WoLEX is running on knows about and allows you to quickly and easily add new address book entries from those devices.
WoLEX can optionally ping devices within the address book and display whether they are online or not.
Along with the standard Wake-Up, Reboot, Log-Off, and Shutdown actions that can be performed on devices; custom actions can be created and also performed on devices within the address book.
Wake On LAN Ex can show the total processes, read and write speeds, CPU frequency, and other instrumentation data for Windows devices that your PC has account access to.
There is full support for multiple address books.
Address books can be stored locally, as normal, or they can be located on a remote server. Remote address books can then either be manually or automatically synchronised. This allows centrally-located address books multiple copies of Wake On LAN Ex can share.
